How big do you think a yellow lab /great pyr mix would get? Mom was the lab. Currently 4 months old and about 30 pounds. Very furry animal right?

If you know for sure the father is a Great Pyr, if its a male pup, probably 80-90 pounds, if its a female, I would guess 60-80 pounds. Depends on how large the parents are. Some labs are very large while others are smaller, same with Pyrs. You can take the weight at 4-6 months and double it and can get a pretty good idea. Probably is a pretty pup and will be a pretty adult dog also.

I got mine from Pet Finder, too. He was 8 weeks old (I was told his mother was a lab and father was great pyrenees), and my vet said that he would never be over 30 lbs, because his paws were too small. He is now almost 4 mos, and almost as big as my Belgian Malinois! His paws just keep getting bigger, which I thought was odd. He looks just like a yellow lab, short hair and all, but he eats 6 cups of Science Diet puppy food a day, and looks like a walking skeleton - tall and lankey. I took him back to the vet to be checked for worms, etc, but he's fine. The vet just told me to up his food intake! Goodness sakes! He's a sweetheart, but destroys everything, and is eating me out of house and home. I should have gotten him into puppy training straight away. Now, I have this horse who pulls me down the street, and we'll have to train with the prong collar. Advise: get into puppy kindergarten while you can still pick them up!!!!!!

I just had to put down my 13 yo Pyr/Yello Law mix female. Bailey was the best dog ever. I would love to find another mix like her. She was loving, protective, and the ultimate watch dog. She was 80 lbs in her prime, thick beautiful coat. You are lucky to have dog of this mix. I'm convinced they are the best. Enjoy your puppy.
