I have two dogs, both mixes, a little over a year old. My little dog has taken to growling and sometimes showing her teeth and snapping at my bigger dog anytime we're petting her and my bigger dog comes near us--kind of like she's claiming us. She never used to do this, but even if my bigger dog accidentally bumps into her she growls. I don't know what caused this behavior and the things we've tried to stop it haven't worked. Outside of the mentioned situations they get along wonderfully with one another and hate to be apart, but I can't stand to see her act like that. Advice???
