Lady is a stunning female German Shepherd who was picked up as a stray by a DogsOnly volunteer in Little Rock. Lady had been scavenging about for food and water in a neighborhood Just south of I-630 for weeks before she was finally picked up after several trips to coax and win Lady’s trust.

Lady

Lady is a typical affectionate, intelligent, loyal, loving, and confident Germen Shepherd. She bonds very quickly and very much needs and wants to be someone’s companion. Anyone who has loved a German Shepherd would know exactly what this means.

Lady

As with all rescued dogs, secure fencing is an absolute requirement! Please don’t be tempted to adopt Lady on an impulse. Lady could well live to be 15 years old, so you should take the time to carefully consider the long term commitment, expense, and passion it takes to give her the home she deserves. Lady might be cute , but she’s still a very large, energetic, and powerful dog. She’s going to need extra attention, as well as other sacrifices on the part of the family committing to her care and needs. Bringing a very large dog like Lady into your home will almost certainly involve a significant financial commitment, and will require some personal sacrifice on your part including things like very frequent walks to learn good house training. For that reason we would prefer a family experienced with large breed dogs like Lady as well as the patience and time to train and help Lady be the best she can be. Lady will reward you with unbounded love and devotion, but you must be committed and serious about your decision to bring her into your life. Remember, this is an adoption, not a sale, and we’re very serious about making sure that both you and your puppy are a good match for each other.

Lady can be met in person at our weekly adoption showing at the West Little Rock Petco on Chenal Parkway across from Target and Home Depot. This is in the same strip mall as Old Navy and Shoe Carnival. Our showing hours are from 1-4 every Saturday except major holiday weekends.

DogsOnly relies solely on donations and are a 501(c)3 private Humane Society. Our mission is to rescue dogs that most other groups are not interested in due to their size, breed, age, health or other various reasons. This does not mean that there is something wrong with any of our rescued companions, it just means we try to help the dogs that tend to be left behind.
