Fido is a loving and gentle, 7 month old lab-mix puppy who was found wandering a West Little Rock neighborhood on June 23 and has been staying with his foster parents ever since. When his rescuers first picked him up, he was covered in fleas, had worms and mites, and an ear infection. After several trips to the vet, Fido has a clean bill of health, is now neutered and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention medicine.
Fido is eager to please his foster family and is quickly learning his basic commands. He enjoy walks, and is great on a leash whether walking or running. Fido has even learned to run along next to a bicycle as long as it doesn't go too fast. He loves playing fetch with balls and soft Frisbees, but his favorite thing to fetch is a simple stick. Most of all, he loves people attention and lying on his back for a good belly rub.
If you have room in your heart and home and can provide this special guy with plenty of exercise, please contact Heather at firstname.lastname@example.org. A small adoption fee to be donated to a local animal shelter is requested.

We always try and answer all emails within 24 hours. All of our young and adult dogs require a 2 week home visit before finalizing the adoption process. This is to help ensure it is a good match for all involved without making a final commitment. All of our rescues are in private homes and not available to be visited outside of showing times.

All of our foster
homes work with our rescues to ensure they are crate trained and most
are also housetrained. None of our foster homes have cats, so we can
only make our best guess as to how our rescues would do with cats..
We rescue from high kill shelters and once accepted into our program, none of our rescues are euthanized. We provide for all their vet care, socialization and training until an appropriate home can be found. We rely solely on donations and are a 501(c)3 Humane Society. The only support we receive is from donations from the general public.
Thank you for your interest in rescue and in saving the life of a dog. Every day in the United States, 11,000 dogs die.
