Honey is an angel in a fur coat. This sweet Shepherd Husky mix is so pretty, and her personality matches her gorgeous looks. Honey is a female Husky Shepherd mix and at around 50 Lbs is about 2 years old. Her coat is a very beautiful soft silky silver gray with reddish highlights. Her shelter photo doesn’t begin to do her justice. She was picked up as a stray without a collar and ID by Little Rock Animal Services. Honey was adopted by a family who ended up getting a divorce and since she is a momma's girl, mom no longer has a house with a backyard so its best for Honey to find a better home where she can have a fenced yard to run and play. Honey is housetrained and gets along with other dogs. Honey has been living with 2 cats and a 6 pound Yorkie. Honey did take some work to learn not to chase the kitties but she is fine with them now. She might just need a little reinforcement not to go back to her old ways in a new home. Honey loves to go for her daily walks with her mom so would be happiest in a new home with some one who will spend time with her, allow her to be inside and part of the family and maybe another dog to romp and play with. Honey is past the puppy stage and has had a loving family to train her and work through the most difficult part of having a dog, all she needs now is a new family where she can spend the rest of her years without having to worry about changing homes again.
An adoption fee of $125 applies to Honey’s adoption but it covers her vet care to include her spay, all shots, rabies, fecal and worming medication, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, micro-chipping, grooming and payment of up to 50% towards basic training classes. If you would like to learn more about this spectacular survivor you are invited to send an email to Contact@DogsOnly.org or complete an online adoption application by clicking the links at the top or bottom of this page. It is also possible to meet Honey at the DogsOnly adoption showings at Petco in West Little Rock on Chenal Parkway across from Target and Home Depot every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4. Please be sure and call (501-219-9907) before you come to visit her to make sure that she is still available for adoption.
If you don't find that special companion you are looking for in the DogsOnly rescue, rehabilitation, and re-home program then please Little Rock Animal Services or one of the many other central Arkansas rescue organizations to save a rescued canine companion.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL ADOPTIONS REQUIRE SECURE FENCING. THIS DOG IS NOT TRAINED AS A WORKING LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOG. COMPANION HOMES ONLY PLEASE.
